DJ Du Nord and I are happy to debut a band from Phoenix, Arizona who we instantly fell in love with called Reliquary. We are throwing a CD release party for the band's album, Winter WorldthisSunday, August 27, 2006 at Pink Cadillac (478 Ena Road, Waikiki, Hawaii)

Reliquary hasopened and played in events withFaith and the Muse, Bella Morte, The Last Dance and the Cruxshadows. Their influencesinclude several different genres, including goth rock, industrial, classical and darkwave. Thus, Reliquarys music appeals to a wide array of audiences. Reliquary combines driving guitars and bass with soothing, opera-like soprano vocals. With its many layers of synths, drums, and  strings, Winter World has complex songs that yet contain very memorable melodies.

Kara is the voice of Reliquary. Classically trained, and currently studying for her Masters in Music Performance Pedagogy, she lends the full force and nuance of her four-octave range to Loki's music, the composer, programmer and the guitaristfor the band and toSuriel, whoplays bass and keyboards for Reliquary.

From the sorrow-laden "Lament"tothe powerful version of Delibes' soaring aria, "Lakme,"to the layered and evocative "Lost inThought"Karas voice mesmerizesandenchants.
