STAFF
Chad Fujihara
Editor in Chief
Chad is in charge of this thing. How did he manage to convince a group of people that he could run an entire website? Nobody is sure, really. However, if you’ve got a suggestion or a gripe or another thing, he’s always happy to get non-spam in his e-mail inbox. So send your assorted typings to chadf@hawaii.edu or call him at (808) 347-0913.
Ty Tanji
Copy Chief
Commonly referred to as “the most anal, high-strung person I know,” this semester’s copy chief looks forward to keeping his eyes out for stray commas, misspelled words, and whether writers confuse “their,” “they’re” and “there.” His nose is usually buried in The New York Times or a book about food or infectious diseases. Even his friends don’t bother calling him cos he rarely responds to phone calls, but you can e-mail him at mediculinaria@live.com.
Chase Olivieri
Associate Editor
Chase is Ka Lamakua’s first mate. Born in New York and grown in the Caribbean, Chase is happy to call Hawai‘i home these days. By day he can be found either on a surfboard or behind a camera. Feel free to contact him via e-mail cpo@hawaii.edu or call him at (787) 316-2289.
A Staff Position
Maybe You
Ka Lamakua is always growing and adapting to life in the fast lane. Whenever a new staff position opens up, advertisements advertising the gig will show up on the UH Mānoa campus in various forms. Just remember to keep your eyes open, your ears to the ground, and your hearts reasonably pure. And then while you wait for your dream job working for Ka Lamakua to coalesce into existence, be sure that you go ahead and submit your contributions to be shared with the UH community and potentially the entire Internet-enabled world!
Send the e-mails to kalamakua.org@gmail.com and make sure to put “Submission” in the subject line.
